Combantrin – Threadworm Tablets contain Mebendazole, an antiparasitic medicine used to treat threadworm (pinworm) infections. Threadworms are common intestinal parasites that mainly affect children but can occur in adults as well. This medicine works effectively to eliminate the worms and help prevent reinfection when used correctly.
Mebendazole works by stopping the worms from absorbing glucose, which is essential for their survival. As a result, the worms lose energy, die, and are naturally expelled from the body through bowel movements.
The recommended dose depends on age and medical advice. In many cases, a single dose is sufficient, but a repeat dose may be required after two weeks to prevent reinfection. Always follow your healthcare professional’s instructions.
Some people may experience mild side effects such as stomach pain, nausea, or diarrhoea. Serious side effects are rare. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice promptly.
Combantrin – Threadworm Tablets should be used as directed. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications. Good hygiene practices are recommended to reduce the risk of reinfection.
Store the tablets in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
